We will use this information for the following purposes:
Demographic information collected on our Careers site and/or through the job application process will not be used for the above purposes and will only be used to help us improve and understand our hiring practices, level of engagement and retention, and for our diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. This data will only be collected if you choose to provide it.
Basis of Collection and International data transfers
This information is collected based on your consent and on our legitimate interest to solicit, evaluate and select candidates for employment. We are headquartered in Canada, have offices and affiliates in other countries, and we use cloud services providers located in Canada and the U.S. to help us manage your information during this process. This means that your information may be stored and accessed from within Canada, the U.S., and other countries. For European data protection purposes, we rely on standard contractual clauses with our service provider for data transfers to the U.S. and other countries.
We will retain information about you for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes of collection outlined here and to meet any legal requirements.
Third party recruitment tools
During our recruitment process, we may use widely accepted recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and job board databases such as Indeed or Reed to identify potential candidates. We may also use service providers to assist us with our recruitment processes. Please review the privacy policies of the respective organizations when you are providing your resume and other information to those websites and service providers as your information will be handled by the third parties in accordance with their policies.
We may also offer an ability to apply using your LinkedIn profile or from a LinkedIn advertisement; and if you select those options, your information will be collected from LinkedIn.
Your rights regarding your information
If you would like to view or delete information about you from the Careers site, please click on the link to “Request to view, download and delete your personal information” and provide your email address so that we can verify your identity. Once verified, we will review and respond to your request within 30 days.
Please be aware that if you do choose to delete your information, this will remove your entire profile information from the career site including any active job applications. This will also remove any subscriptions you might have requested.
